I was extremely fortunate to receive the support of The Cross Trust throughout my fourth year of studying medicine. Scotland has a long and proud history of great people who have pushed the boundaries of the field of medical science, and this opportunity has allowed me to stand on their shoulders and gain training in general medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, psychiatry, paediatrics and obstetrics.
Training to serve those in their hour of need is a humbling privilege, and the support that The Cross Trust has afforded me will touch many more lives than just my own. I am forever indebted to the trust and will always remember its generosity throughout my career in medicine.
