With the support of The Cross Trust, I have been able to take up my place studying Sound Production at the University of the West of Scotland. Progressing to Masters level has fast-tracked my knowledge and understanding in this field, and has afforded me fantastic opportunities to collaborate with peers and industry professionals through tuition, university-led and external projects; none of which I would have had access to without the Trust’s support.
Undertaking the Masters has broadened, not only my practice as a musician, engineer and producer, but has allowed me to begin undertaking practice-based research into pertinent issues within our wider industry, such as gender representation levels in studio production.
